CHARLES J. LEVIN - Committed To Helping Others.

Currently, CHARLES J. LEVIN is helping Victor. Victor was 30 years old in 1995, when he was the victim of a devastating automobile accident. There is no source of compensation for his injuries. Victor was rendered a quadriplegic in the accident.

Victor was married for one month when tragedy struck on March 29, 1994. Victor is now divorced. Victor is without any means of support except social security and limited state and county assistance. His income is barely $600 dollars per month. However, his needs are great. Victor requires around-the-clock care. He requires special medical equipment which he can not afford to purchase. He requires regular medical and dental care but cannot afford co-payments often required to secure these services. He requires physical therapy and counseling. He requires job training. Some of these services are provided, to a limited extent, by governmental programs, some of which require transportation and co-payments.Victor needs more help than the government can supply. Victor has no means of transportation.

Practice Tips
Disclaimer

Victor needs transportation, and funds for his other needs immediately. Currently, Victor is sometimes taken by volunteers in an old and unreliable car to and from appointments. He must be lifted in and out of his chair and the chair must then be lifted into the trunk. Sometimes he misses appointments because rides are unavailable. A properly equipped van costs over $25,000.00. For transportation, Victor needs a van retrofitted for wheel chair loading and unloading together with funds to purchase insurance and to cover maintenance.

Victor also needs to do something productive with his life. Computer and telephone work are available for quadriplegics such as Victor with the proper training and equipment. Recent donations have enabled Victor to own a Pentium computer with CD-ROM and modem. However, he needs software and training. A voice dictation program would also be helpful to him.

With all of his problems, Victor remains a strong and positive spirit and a positive influence on the lives he touches. The practice of law is a high calling but personal rewards that are sometimes elusive. However, with Victor we have been blessed as he has taught us so much about caring.

If you want to help, send any donation you can afford to The Victor Fund care of our office. Ten ($10.00) is not too little. No amount is too small or too large. Our firm guarantees that every cent collected will be used to buy Victor items and services that he so desperately needs. Hopefully soon, Victor will be able to communicate with you on the web. We will keep you informed of how our web efforts develop.
